"Guado al Tasso fremstilles af 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc og 2% Petit Verdot. Druerne høstes i hånden og bringes til kældrene i små kurve. Her håndsorteres klaserne så kun perfekt modne og struttende sunde druer når gæringstankene. Druerne fra forskellige udsnit af vinmarkerne gærer separat for at bevare de individuelle karakteristika. Gæringen varer i 15-20 dage ved kontrolleret temperatur, hvorefter der omstikkes til nye barriques. Her lagrer vinen i 12 måneder, hvorefter det endelige blend skabes. Dernæst følger yderligere 6 måneder på fad før vinen tappes på flaske.Guado al Tasso er en verdensklasse vin med en intens og svimlende dyb aroma af kirsebær og solbær med strejf af kaffe og mørk chokolade. Smagen er koncentreret, elegant og kompleks og munder ud i en lang og blød eftersmag. En umiskendelig karakter af de anvendte druesorter med en stærk regional karakter. Server Gaudo al Tasso til de fineste retter med lam, kalv eller okse."

"The 2012 vintage was, on the whole, warmer than the previous one. The early months of the year were marked by a February snowstorm, a very unusual event for the Tuscan coast. Bud-burst took place quite regularly despite the scarce rainfall during the spring and summer. Early September rainfall, fortunately, pushed the ripening of the grapes forward, assisting the achievement of a high quality crop. The 2012 vintage demonstrated, once again, that the Bolgheri production zone can produce excellent wines even in very hot years: the morphology of the territory and the nearby presence of the sea mitigate high summer temperatures and help prevent vine stress that could compromise ripening and proper balance in the grapes."

There is plenty of Bolgheri immediacy, but the growing season, which was about 20 days longer than normal, helped give the wine an extra dimension of balance.
